A deeper dive into the benefits of some specific foods
As we start of our New Year with new energy why not include more super foods into your diet.
- Blueberries: These tiny berries are packed with antioxidants, which help combat oxidative stress and inflammation. A blue superfood for the brain, heart and eyes. They’re a great addition to smoothies, oatmeal, or yogurt.
- Spinach: A leafy green rich in iron, vitamin K, and folate, spinach can boost energy levels and support bone health. Use it as a salad base or blend it into a smoothie.
- Chia Seeds: These small but mighty seeds are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, fibre, and protein. Great to boost up the gut and get regular bowel movements going. Sprinkle them on yogurt, add them to smoothies, or make a quick chia pudding for a healthy snack.
- Quinoa: A gluten-free grain high in protein and essential amino acids, quinoa is a versatile base for salads, stir-fries, or side dishes.
- Turmeric: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric is a powerful spice that can be added to soups, teas, or golden milk.
- Salmon: Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, salmon promotes heart and brain health. Enjoy it grilled, baked, or as part of a salad.
- Avocado: Full of healthy monounsaturated fats, avocado supports skin health and provides long-lasting energy. Spread it on toast, add it to salads, or blend it into smoothies.
